Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / Andrea Fregi (1971) - Balze d’oro
Oil painting on canvas from a collection. Hand-signed by contemporary artist Andrea Fregi and bearing the Gallery stamp. Title: Balze d’oro Measurements: 80x60 cm Year: 2023 Andrea Fregi, born in 1971 in Taranto, is an Italian contemporary artist who blends figurative elegance with decorative sensitivity in a refined and immediately recognizable style. Andrea Fregi creates works featuring female figures suspended between classicism and modern vision, in dialogue with precious backgrounds, ornamental textures, and intense color schemes that evoke a timeless aesthetic. Through a sophisticated visual language, Andrea Fregi transforms portraiture into a poetic dimension, where beauty, mystery, and harmony coexist in perfect balance. The figures painted by Andrea Fregi are not mere subjects: they are presences that inhabit a space between the sacred and the decorative, between the ancient and the contemporary. Andrea Fregi’s artistic research draws sustenance from a deep knowledge of Italian painting tradition and the decorative arts. He fuses Renaissance compositional rigour with the ornamental richness of Byzantine and Eastern art. Each work by Andrea Fregi is built through a layering of matter, color, and symbol that gives the painting surface a almost tactile quality. In Fregi’s works, the gilded backgrounds, geometric textures, and floral motifs are not mere decoration but an integral part of the visual narrative: they frame the figures, protect them, and elevate them into icons of beauty that transcend time and space. www.andreafregi.com Note: The work will be shipped in a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors that come to life on the canvas.
