ROMAN GLASS FLASK Spherical-bodied vase, the body adorned with five circular depressions at mid-height, a tall, smooth neck tightened at the base to form a dropper-like system, with a large flared lip curled inward. The vase displays a significant iridescence with silver and violet reflections, giving it a certain charm. Dating: 2nd/4th century AD, Dimensions: height 8.3 cm - width 5.4 cm Perfect condition - totally intact Provenance: Germany, M.R.S. gallery Previously: Ex coll. Carl Anton Niessen (1830-1934), collector and major donor to the Cologne Museum Glass was precious in Roman times, used mainly for perfumes and for adornment.
