Ancient Roman mosaic glass eye bead. A distinctive ancient glass bead of rounded form, made from turquoise / blue-green glass and decorated with multiple applied eye motifs. The decorative elements consist of yellow/cream circular patterns with red-burgundy outlines and darker central elements. The bead has a central perforation for suspension. The surface shows age-related wear, deposits and weathering, consistent with its age, while the decorative eye motifs remain clearly recognizable. The bead is intact. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
