A red-figure bell krater, dating from the 4th century BC and attributed to Magna Graecia. It features a bell-shaped body, a wide mouth with an everted rim, two upward-curving side handles, and a raised circular foot. The figures and ornamental motifs stand out against the black background in reddish tones, with details outlined by fine dark lines. The front shows a nude youth facing a woman dressed in a long tunic. The youth holds a tray and a small vessel, while the woman holds an elongated object vertically. Between them is a branching vegetal motif; other ornamental elements complete the scene. On the reverse are two figures wrapped in cloaks, facing each other, one of them leaning on a staff. Between them is a rectangular element, and above, a suspended ribbon. A border of meanders alternating with panels of cross-shaped motifs defines the lower part of the compositions. The contrast between the black surfaces and the reddish decoration highlights the silhouettes, gestures, and folds of the garments. Acquired from a French private collection, M.C in 1986. -The piece includes an authenticity certificate as well as Spanish export license ( passport for European Union ) and TL test.
