Beaded necklace of terracotta – Ancient Egypt Elegant necklace composed of numerous terracotta beads, from ancient Egyptian tradition, currently threaded forming a long strand of approximately 1 meter in length. The beads, small in size — approximately 4 mm — feature a characteristic discoidal and cylindrical shape, with slight irregularities typical of manual production. They preserve an attractive range of natural tones, from ochres and sands to browns and darker earthy tones, creating a particularly harmonious ensemble. The matte surface, color variations and small signs of wear give the piece a marked archaeological presence. The considerable length of the necklace allows the rhythmic succession of the beads to be appreciated and confers a significant decorative effect, both displayed in a display case and presented on a support. Cultural origin: Ancient Egypt Material: Terracotta Total length: approx. 100 cm Diameter of the beads: approx. 4 mm State of preservation: in keeping with its age, with wear, deposits and tonal variations characteristic of the material. An intimate and evocative piece, representative of the tradition of personal adornment in ancient Egypt, particularly appealing for a collection of Mediterranean and Oriental archaeology.
