Blue amber (or blue amber) is the rarest and most uncommon variant of amber in the world, which under UV light (such as sunlight) transforms from golden-brown to an intensely fluorescing blue color. Natural phenomenon: Under artificial light or against a light background the stone appears yellow, honey-colored, or deep dark red. However, when exposed to UV radiation, the molecules (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons such as perylene) light up and a spectacular blue glow appears. Origin: This type of fossil resin is millions of years old and mainly comes from the extinct prehistoric tree species Hymenaea protera.
