AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Nova" - ROLEX - 9/20 In the wake of the original luminous works from the Aurora Borealis collection, discover "Aurora Nova", a hand-customized, limited-edition luminous pop sculpture in 20 copies for 2025, themed around the Swiss watchmaking house Rolex (this is not an official branded object). A strong, minimalist, contemporary sculptural presence: the elegant mirrored sphere draws the eye when it is off, then, once illuminated, reveals an intense and hypnotic luminous explosion at its heart. The iconic crown, suspended at the center of the sphere, becomes the focal point of the piece. It seems to float in a vibrant luminous universe, creating a spectacular and instantly recognizable visual effect. Aurora Nova embodies a streamlined and confident vision of light: a strong, direct, immersive luminous signature, conceived as a genuine contemporary pop artwork. - LED sphere lamp with mirrored effect - Simple and immediate switch-on - Intense signature lighting (see photos) The numbering visible in the photos is shown as an example. The artwork delivered will bear the edition number indicated in this listing. Limited edition lamp, numbered, signed, and delivered with authenticity certificate "AMA". Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, and carton) with signature on delivery. Luminous sculpture composed of a resin base and a silver globe made of rigid synthetic glass-like material, commercially produced and customized, hand-finished by the artist Pope using a manual application technique of premium polymer vinyl. The work personally undertaken by the artist includes graphic design, adapting the visual to the sculpture’s shapes, precise vinyl cutting, as well as the positioning and manual application of each element. Each copy of this edition is individually customized and hand-finished by the artist Pope. The limited edition applies exclusively to the graphic customization and artistic finish carried out by the artist Pope, and not to the commercially manufactured base luminous sculpture. Who is Pope? Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a distinctive artistic universe driven by visual arts practice since childhood, a high standard of detail, and meticulous visual research. Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both simplicity and the complexity of the world around him. Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few. Whether for a gift, a memory, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited edition or not), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry products (sport, sneakers...), Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope delights in mischievously distorting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others. Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unfounded claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
