A luminous sculpture composed of a resin base and a silver globe made of a rigid synthetic glass-like material, commercially manufactured and customized, finished by hand by the artist Pope using a manual application technique of premium polymer vinyl. The work personally executed by the artist includes graphic design, adapting the visual to the sculpture’s shapes, precision vinyl cutting, as well as the positioning and manual application of each element. Each edition is individually personalized and finished by hand by the artist Pope. The limited edition applies exclusively to the graphic customization and artistic finish performed by the artist Pope, and not to the commercially manufactured base luminous sculpture. Who is Pope? Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a plastic arts practice since childhood, a high standard for detail and a meticulous visual research. Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wonder-filled gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him. Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few. Whether as a gift, a keepsake or part of your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art and pop art (editioned or not) exploring a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sport, sneakers...). Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys slyly hijacking labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others. Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
