Statuette, Adan culture, Ghana. Height 35 cm. Beautiful Adan statuette from Ghana. The figure has a strong presence, the body is taut, the figure seems awake, the head forward, on the lookout. The profile is superb and dynamic. The white color is provided by the wood used as well as by the application of kaolin powder. The left shoulder was restored long ago.
