ALPINO, AESTHETIC SMOKED QUARTZ with GREEN CHLORITE...

From our selection of collectible minerals we propose an aesthetically pleasing Smoky Quartz crystal with Chlorite from Grimsel Pass, Canton Uri, Switzerland. Additionally, it is characterized by a typical intense brown-smoky coloration, the presence of green chlorite inclusions that create a pleasant color contrast, good transparency of the crystal and a well-developed natural termination, features that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with characteristics that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. The brown-smoky color of quartz is due to defects induced by natural radiation on traces of aluminum present in the quartz crystal lattice itself. Grimsel Pass, on the border between the cantons of Bern, Valais and Uri, is one of the Alpine localities historically best known for the search of Alpine fissures rich in smoky quartz and accessory crystals such as chlorite. Chlorite, a ferrous-magnesium phyllosilicate, is a typical inclusion of Alpine fissures and often deposits on the faces of quartz crystals during their growth. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
