His immediately recognizable style, characterized by elegant female figures, flowing lines, ornamental halos and rich botanical motifs, has become synonymous with fin-de-siècle Paris and the rise of graphic art as a collected discipline. Mucha's works enjoy enduring international demand, with high prices for posters, lithographs and decorative panels, appealing equally to fine-art lovers, design enthusiasts and interior stylists. From market and collection perspectives Mucha sits alongside other highly sought-after names from modern and decorative art, such as Gustav Klimt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Egon Schiele and Aubrey Beardsley, while he also resonates with collectors of broader modern and contemporary icons such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring, Banksy and Jeff Koons.
