Descriptio Oil on glass, painted on the reverse. Dimensions: 29.5 x 39.5 cm (33 x 43.5 x 2 cm with frame). Allegorical scene depicting the Earth as a female figure crowned with ears of wheat, accompanied by agricultural and animal attributes. The verre églomisé technique creates effects of transparency and luminous depth. The inscription with the title confirms its symbolic and didactic nature. The work reflects the French Enlightenment taste of the 18th century for allegories of the elements, linked to the series of virtues and natural sciences. Provenance: private collection, Elche.
