Alfonso Sánchez - Ya solo mirar y vivir 200 años XXL

Description of the work “Ya solo mirar y vivir 200 años” Original, unique piece. Mixed media (acrylic, pigments, oil stick, charcoal, pencil, wax crayons, India ink and gesso) on canvas. Idea that runs through the execution of the work and ends up fixed in it: There will come a point when everything will be done by an artificial intelligence. We will only have to look, think and live 200 years. Painting worked from free improvisation, with Portishead music. A story of the past and the present. The unknown, what eludes us between the fingers…. Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual. We believe we are Gods but we are only apes that came to more. Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and rests on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences. A need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient. The work is delivered without stretcher (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer must re-stretch it and mount it on a frame. The indicated measurements are those of the painting once stretched and mounted on a frame. The actual canvas dimensions are larger to allow mounting. Signed by hand on the back. Includes certificate of authenticity.
