Alfonso Sánchez - The bird and the madman XXL

Description of the work “The bird and the madman” Original, unique work. Mixed media (acrylic, pigments, oil stick, charcoal, pencil, crayons, india ink and gesso) on canvas. Painting worked from free improvisation with the music of The Pixies. Different interpretations of the song's lyrics end up appearing in the story of the painting. A story of the past and the present. The unknown, what slips through our fingers… Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual. We think we are gods but we are only apes that have grown more. Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and relies on what appears. Embracing the accident and accepting the consequences. The work is delivered unstretched (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer should restretch it and mount it on a stretcher. The indicated measurements are those of the painting once stretched and mounted on the stretcher. The actual canvas dimensions are larger to allow for mounting. Hand-signed on the back. Includes certificate of authenticity.
