Alexandre Petrus (1988) - VENUS

ABOUT THE ARTWORK VENUS — GODDESS OF LOVE & BEAUTY A classical figure of beauty and femininity, reimagined through contemporary street art. Venus appears in a graceful, contemplative pose, her lowered gaze and delicate gestures contrasting with the vibrant energy of the background. The warm orange and terracotta tones bring a luminous intensity to the composition, while the precise black and white stencil highlights the elegant drapery, sculptural features and fine details of the figure. A striking meeting between classical art and modern urban expression. An elegant statement piece for collectors drawn to mythology, Renaissance sculpture and the enduring beauty of ancient figures. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result: a sharp, iconic figure rising from a vibrant, textured chaos of color. To date, 450+ artworks sold in 10+ countries, from France and Spain to the Netherlands, Germany, the UAE and the US. He has performed live painting for major French institutions including Disneyland Paris, created large-scale murals for corporate headquarters, and exhibited in several French street art festivals (Grimaud, Perpignan, Venelles). His work is currently shown at Galerie Spot 72 in Le Mans. His subjects move between mythology, historical figures, pop culture icons, wildlife and emotionally charged scenes inspired by childhood. Whatever the theme, the signature remains: precise stencil work, instinctive backgrounds and the small smiling "AP" monogram — Alexandre's two initials fused into a face — sprayed on every original piece. His street art roots also live through POPCHIPS, an independent urban art project. Alexandre creates small original artworks and installs them in urban spaces during his travels, creating unexpected encounters between art and passers-by. This spontaneous approach connects his studio practice to the streets. Each painting is a unique, hand-painted original. The same stencil design may be used in other original paintings, but every background and colour composition is individually created. Each hand-cut stencil is strictly limited to a maximum of 50 original artworks. Once that limit is reached, the stencil is permanently retired. A deliberate choice to preserve scarcity, protect the identity of each series and avoid diluting the value of the work. SHIPPING The artwork is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protective plastic film, then secured in a custom-sized cardboard box for safe international transit. The signed certificate of authenticity is included inside the package. Shipping via Colissimo or Chronopost (selected at checkout), tracked and insured. Dispatch within 3 working days after payment confirmation. Worldwide shipping available. FOLLOW ME Instagram: @alexandrepetrus.art Website: www.ap-art.fr
