A magnificent pair of sterling silver candlesticks from the Queen Elizabeth period. They are in Corinthian column style with a stepped base, beaded borders on the base, plain panelled columns, and very fine applied lion-mask decoration on each corner. Made in Birmingham, 1958 Made by Alexander Smith Fully English hallmarked for sterling 925 silver. The dimensions of this pair of hand made antique inspired silver candlesticks are: Height: 28.9 cm Base width: 10.2 × 10.2 cm Approx. 366 + 374 = 740 grams (unweighted, 23.9 troy ounces). (Sconces together weigh 55 grams). Condition: Good condition. Tiny pinprick indentations here and there. Both have a Hebrew inscription on one side on the base.
