Alessi - Carlo Alessi - Coffee service/the (4) - Bombè Model - Metal, Bakelite - Bombè set 1940-1950 - Italy - Art Deco Celebrated tea and coffee service "Bombé", designed by Carlo Alessi in 1945. This set represents one of the company's most important historical products, marking its crucial transition from artisanal to industrial scale. Characteristics of the Service The lines are rounded and enveloping, mirroring the aesthetic trend of early post-war design in Italy. Metal chrome-plated and bakelite - The service is in overall good structural condition. The coffee pot has a small dent on the metal body. For the rest, all components show the usual historical wear consistent with age and normal use, such as micro-scratches and slight halos on the brass plating. The lid hinges are intact and stable; the black bakelite elements are solid and free of cracks. Please review the photo gallery to verify the detailed condition of the objects.
