We offer a selection of wines from Alain Graillot and his son, Maxime Graillot.. 1) Crozes-Hermitage La Giraude 2023 The Crozes-Hermitage La Guiraude from Domaine Alain Graillot stands out with its intense, brilliant ruby red color. The nose is expressive, blending aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), floral notes of violet, and spicy, slightly smoky hints. On the palate, the attack is frank, supported by a beautiful freshness and balanced acidity. The fine, silky tannins bring structure and elegance, while the long, persistent finish reveals a subtle minerality. Food and wine pairings: Ideal with duck breast, grilled red meat, rack of lamb, or slow-cooked dishes such as beef bourguignon. It also pairs very well with mature cheeses. 2) Crozes-Hermitage 2023 (x2) The Crozes-Hermitage from Domaine Alain Graillot stands out for its deep red color with purple highlights. Its nose is complex, evoking notes of red and black fruits (blackcurrant, cherry) as well as spicy and slightly smoky touches. On the palate, it offers a round attack and a beautiful tannic structure, with aromas of black fruits and a long, fresh, and slightly mineral finish. Food and wine pairings: Ideal with red meat, duck, but also with sweet tarts 3) Crozes-Hermitage Equinoxe 2024 (x3) This Crozes-Hermitage Equinoxe from domaine des Lises (Maxime Graillot) stands out with its deep dark red color. The nose reveals generous aromas of ripe fruit, supported by a fresh, slightly salty acidity. On the palate, it is lively and fruity, with a crisp character, fine tannins, and a pleasant, lingering finish. Made from Syrah, the grapes are hand-harvested, then fermented in tanks with gentle extraction, and aged partly in oak to bring structure while keeping the wine fresh and fruit-driven. Aging potential: about 5 to 6 years from the vintage. Food pairings: pairs very well with red meat, barbecue, cured meats, or cheese.
