With an apparent date “71” Support: Canvas on wooden stretcher Condition: Generally good state of conservation, with signs of age and use compatible with its period. 2. DESCRIPTION Expressive interpretation of one of Vincent van Gogh's most emblematic landscapes: Field of Wheat with Crows, painted in Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890. The composition shows a wide golden wheat field traversed by winding paths that progress toward a low horizon, beneath an intense blue sky dotted with numerous birds. The work does not aim to reproduce the original mechanically, but to reinterpret its language through a pictorial material, gestural brushwork, and strong chromatic contrasts. 3. STYLISTIC AND COMPOSITIONAL ANALYSIS The composition preserves several of the fundamental elements of Van Gogh's model: the wheat field, the paths penetrating into depth, the compressed horizon, and the restless flight of the crows against a sky of great intensity. The execution is notably material. The wheat is built with short, impasted brushstrokes in yellows, ochres, earth tones, and whites, while the paths appear defined by thick brown and green bands.
