A VIENNESE TRANSPARENT-ENAMELLED TOPOGRAPHICAL BEAKER (RANFTBECHER) IN THE MANNER OF OR POSSIBLY FROM THE ATELIER OF ANTON KOTHGASSER (1769-1851), 19TH CENTURY Painted with a veduta of St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna, titled verso Der St. Stephansdom in Wien, on a cog foot with yellow-flashed star to the base 12.3cm high The cathedral was one of the most popular of the topographical subject of the Kothgasser workshop as can be seen from the Kothgasser notebooks, See R. Von Strasser, Die Einschreibebuchlein des Wiener Glas-und Porzellanmalers Anton Kothgasser, Karlsruhe, 1979.
