With an arched pediment inset with a panel depicting a bowl of fruit in a gadrooned vase, inlaid stones including lapis lazuli, giallo di Siena , amethyst, surmounted by an ormolu border of laurel leaves, above a moulded cornice, the body inset with a lapis lazuli circular clock dial with Roman chapters flanked by two lapis lazuli columns with Corinthian pilasters, above a ribbon-tied festoon of fruits, on a square base inset with a further ribbon-tied festoon, the sides inlaid with pietra dura, on ormolu sabots and an an associated ebonised plinth inset with jasper, the twin barrel movement with later brocot regulation, the backplate with countwheel strike to bell, engraved to the border and signed 'HUNZIKER'
