porcelain, in the form of a covered vase with integral base on four scroll feet, the neck and ‘cover’ pierced, with a sculptural genius holding a floral wreath to the left and two putti to the right, surmounted by a cockerel, applied with flowers and foliage, with polychrome and gold decoration, below the movement a polychrome-painted Watteau scene and scattered flowers, height 55.7 cm, model no. 2721, designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler and assistants in 1761, ‘Vincenti Paris’ spring-driven eight-day movement, striking the half-hours on a bell, underglaze-blue crossed-swords mark, one wing and applied foliage and flowers minimally chipped, without guarantee for accuracy or long-term functioning, (Hr)
