A Large Louis XV Salon Commode

so-called ‘commode sauteuse’, c. 1750/60, each stamped once F. and P. GARNIER (died 1774 and 1800 respectively), serpentine and bombé hardwood body on gracefully curved legs, richly decorated with floral marquetry in rosewood and other exotic woods, two drawers of so-called sans traverse construction, fire-gilt bronze mounts, moulded marble top (‘Brèche d’Alep’), key with ‘fleur de lys’ symbol representing the Bourbon lily, c. 86 x 128 x 60 cm, restored condition.
