A German 18k yellow gold ring with a Roman Imperial chrome chalcedony
A German 18k yellow gold ring with a Roman Imperial chrome chalcedony cameo depicting the head of an Eros boy. Small, round, cup-shaped repoussé bezel centrally set with a miniature head of a young Eros with a characteristic curl of hair (approx. 8.91 × 7.80 mm), carved from chrome chalcedony. Hallmarks: Fineness 750, maker’s mark “ET”. Bezel diameter 1.3 cm. Ring size 53. Weight 6.20 g. Elisabeth Treskow, Cologne 1950s, the cameo 2nd century AD.
