A DIVISION ONE ENGRAVED PEARL AND PASTE BUTTON

1 Large 19th century example set in a steel cup metal base. Here is a beautiful green snail button with a great rococo style engraved surface and inset with fine brilliant paste jewels. Depending on the light and the way you turn the button in the light it turns from brownish to reddish to greenish colors. A truly beautiful button. The engraving is also enhanced with a subtle gold leaf DF. From the collection the late Don and Barb Lanier. Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4".
