A DIVISION ONE CARVED PEARL AND PASTE ANIMAL BUTTON

1 Large 19th century scalloped shaped Hawksbill Turtle example. I've never seen this carved pearl before. The Hawksbill turtle in smokey pearl is carved inside a carved out oval section of the middle of the smokey scalloped base, which in turn is accented with large brilliant paste jewels on either side. Lovely example and scarce too. Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4".
