H, 11th Michigan Infantry Regiment, enlisted in August, 1862: a pocket diary, purchased in Atlanta, Nov. 1, 1864, and continued through August 30, 1865, including pencilled notes during Sherman's march through Georgia, and a slip laid in concerning his dates of service and confinement in the Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia; and a small photo album containing 15 albumin or tintype cartes de visite, including one of Pierce, along with Sherman and other officers, and various cousins, with later pencilled identifications; both items in original folding leather bindings
