6 Early XXth Century hand embroidered linen napkins with A.B

Generous Damask Linen Napkins with Hand-Embroidered Petit Point Initials A handsome set of six generous damask linen napkins, offering a combination of sturdy linen, a distinctive woven pattern and delicate hand embroidery with the initials A.B.. Originally part of a set of eleven napkins, I have decided to divide them into two smaller sets, which I feel makes more sense for today's dining habits. The background damask is known as damien, a French term referring to its checkerboard pattern. This understated geometric design provides an interesting contrast to the single white petit point cross-stitch embroidery, which has been carefully worked by hand and adds a subtle decorative detail. Made from sturdy linen and particularly generous in size, these napkins combine practicality with the understated elegance of traditional French table linen. A charming set for those who appreciate the quality, character and craftsmanship of antique line
