2023 Domaine de l'Arlot "Clos de l'Arlot" blanc - Nuits St

Le Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de l’Arlot blanc 2023 embodies the excellence of white wines from the Côte de Nuits, an appellation that is predominantly dedicated to red. This exceptional wine comes from Clos de l’Arlot, a historic monopole of Domaine de l’Arlot located in Prémeaux-Prissey, south of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The plot, about 1.2 hectares, is planted mainly with Chardonnay, with a tiny proportion of Pinot Gris, on stony, calcareous and very steep soils. These unique conditions give the wine intense mineral character, remarkable tension, and an aromatic complexity rarely matched in the region. On the nose, the Clos de l’Arlot blanc 2023 unveils intense aromas of white and yellow fruits, citrus (lemon, grapefruit), as well as delicate notes of verbena, linden and élevage. On the palate, it stands out for a perfect balance between opulence and freshness, with generous fruit, a creamy texture and a salty, crisp finish. This long-aging white wine will charm lovers of great white Burgundies with its length, precision and aging potential. For food pairing, favor fish in sauce, crustaceans, veal or fine poultry. Served between 12 and 13°C, it can be enjoyed in its youth but reveals its full richness after 8 to 15 years of cellaring. This Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru white is a prestigious choice for collectors and enthusiasts of Burgundian terroir wines.
