The two brothers represent the sixth generation of a lineage of vignerons from Castelpapaux. They have set up their winery in the family house, in the heart of the village, on about twelve hectares farmed organically. Their choice is radical for Châteauneuf: a single red cuvée, a blend of the historic grape varieties (Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah), conceived as the most accurate expression of each vintage. The style goes against the grain of powerful Châteauneufs: elegance, a silky mouthfeel, drinkability. The estate has been praised by the specialist press since its first vintage. This 2022, the estate’s second vintage, offers aromas of tart red fruits and crushed raspberries, with sanguine and mineral notes. The palate is soft and fine, with a texture characteristic of the estate. An still-under-the-radar estate, with limited volumes, already sought after by discerning enthusiasts. An opportunity to position oneself early on one of the rising signatures of the Rhône Valley.
