Toutes les enchères / Vins & Alcools / 2020 Castelgiocondo - Brunello di Montalcino - 3 Bottles (0.75L)
Frescobaldi’s Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino originates in the vineyards of the estate of the same name, located in Montalcino, Tuscany. It is produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes, meticulously selected and hand-harvested during the first week of October. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, involving frequent pump-overs, particularly during the initial stages. The wine then undergoes wood aging, allowing it to mature and achieve balance. CastelGiocondo Brunello is released to the market five years after the harvest, following a period of further bottle aging. Deep ruby red in color, it offers warm, mineral aromas on the nose, featuring notes of black fruit followed by hints of walnut. On the palate, it is full-bodied with smooth tannins and a flavorful finish. It expresses ripe fruit flavors with savory nuances that lend this red wine a wonderful succulence. An excellent wine to enjoy throughout a meal, it pairs beautifully with braised meats, beef tenderloin, and aged cheeses. THE WINERY No other Italian winery can boast the history, prestige, and vision of Marchesi Frescobaldi. It is a Florentine family dedicated to the production of fine wines for thirty generations—spanning a full 700 years—with the unwavering goal of being Tuscany’s most prestigious producer. The company has always believed in respecting the land and prioritizing the excellence of its grapes; it invests in communication and professional human resources while remaining committed to tradition and open to research and experimentation. Centuries later, Frescobaldi remains one of Tuscany’s and Italy’s leading and most highly regarded wine producers, boasting a total of 1,200 hectares of vineyards spread across prestigious estates featuring historic residences and ancient castles. These estates embody the glorious history of the greatest Tuscan wines. To name just a few examples: Castello di Nipozzano, birthplace of distinguished expressions of Chianti Classico; Castello Pomino, home to elegant, intense wines with an old-world charm; and Tenuta Castelgiocondo in Montalcino, which seems to capture the magic and the entire history of the Sienese territory. Frescobaldi wines are the fruit of over 700 years of history and a truly exceptional, long-established entrepreneurial vision that is unrivaled worldwide. This noble family has remarkably reinvented itself over the centuries—generation after generation—while consistently maintaining the highest quality standards across its entire production and establishing itself as a benchmark producer on the international stage.
