It comes from the Pignan district and is made in a single varietal from Grenache; it is a wine of exceptional purity and remarkable intensity. The district, located on sandy and light soils, is renowned for producing wines of outstanding finesse, with a clear and precise expression of the Grenache grape. This single-varietal Grenache Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a perfect example of the purity and elegance this grape can offer, especially when grown in such a renowned terroir as Pignan and carefully aged in old Burgundian barrels. It is ideal to accompany refined dishes such as duck breast, grilled meats, or aged cheeses. The first nose is generous and complex, revealing aromas of ripe red fruit. You can detect sour cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry. Subtle notes of dark fruit such as plum and blackcurrant are added, along with floral hints evoking rose and violet.
