2017 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse - Bordeaux 5ème Grand Cru...

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2017 – Original Wooden Case (6 x 75cl) A refined and elegant expression of Pauillac, the 2017 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse reflects the classic character of the vintage, combining freshness, precision and beautifully integrated tannins. As a 5th Growth of the prestigious Pauillac appellation, the estate produces wines that express the distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon character of the Médoc, while retaining the generosity and roundness provided by Merlot. The 2017 vintage is composed of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Merlot, resulting in a beautifully balanced and approachable Pauillac. The nose reveals layers of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum, complemented by subtle notes of cedar, tobacco, spice and earthy nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied yet remarkably precise, with vibrant freshness, fine-grained tannins and a savoury, persistent finish. 2017 offers a more restrained and classic Bordeaux profile, making it particularly attractive for those who appreciate elegance, freshness and finesse. Now entering an excellent drinking window, it offers both immediate pleasure and further ageing potential.
