Toutes les enchères / Vins & Alcools / 2008 Dom Pérignon - Champagne Brut - 1 Magnum (1.5L)
96/100 Parker - 98/100 Decanter - 19/20 J.Robinson MAGNUM (1,5 L) Dom Perignon 2008 The perfect balance of an athletic Dom Pérignon After more than eight years of crafting, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 steps into the spotlight. Representing the first "Plénitude" (or window of expression) for Dom Pérignon, the 2008 vintage reveals a perfect balance and dazzling harmony. The Vintage In a decade marked by sunny weather, the contrasting conditions of the 2008 vintage stand out as a unique exception. Yet, it was the arrival of September that brought about the miracle. With the grapes in perfect health and at ideal ripeness, the harvest began on September 15th and was paced to capture the very best of the fruit at the perfect moment. The Blend This 2008 vintage Champagne is crafted from a secret blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Characteristics and Tasting Notes for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 Tasting According to Richard Geoffroy, the renowned Chef de Caves who joined the House in 1990, "Dom Pérignon releases the 2008 vintage, liberating it from a too-literal interpretation of Champagne conventions." Nose Displaying vibrant fruitiness and great complexity, the aromatic bouquet opens with delicate floral notes, tangy citrus, and stone fruit, while hints of aniseed and mint add a lovely freshness. The second nose highlights refined spicy and woody notes reminiscent of roasted aromas. Palate On the palate, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 reveals perfect harmony between its aromatic expression and its character. Precise, pure, and energetic, the wine unfolds with warm generosity—dominated by fruit flavors—and is lifted by a lively acidity. Bursting with flavor, the finish lingers endlessly with smoky notes. An exceptional Champagne that shines in the boldest food pairings, elevating its personality full of contrasts. A singular vintage reminiscent of the legendary 1996, striking a perfect balance of power, elegance, and freshness—the hallmarks of great Dom Pérignon wines. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008: already an icon.
