2008 Abarth 500 SS Kit Opening Edition no. 001/200 No reserve - The very first of 200 cars built! - 32,200 km from new - Certified by Abarth Classiche - No reserve The car presented for sale is quite simply exceptional, as it is the very first example of one of the most limited series based on the 500 Abarth: the Opening Edition, of which only 200 were built. This version went on sale in 2008 to celebrate the return of the Abarth brand, named after the famous Italian race car builder and tuner. Its exclusive equipment included drilled brake discs, red brake callipers and sports-type pads, 17” wheels, special springs, leather upholstery, tinted glass, a customized steering wheel and gear knob, a sophisticated sound system, air-conditioning and an engine uprated to 160bhp (instead of the 135bhp of the standard version). The authenticity of this example is borne out by a special plaque numbered 001 inside the car and by its Abarth Classiche certification, which confirms its original colour scheme: Grigio 676 with a Pelle Nera 402 interior. Carefully looked after, this true collector’s car has covered only 32,200km from new, and the timing kit was replaced at the start of October 2026. It represents an exceptional milestone in the history of this model, which proved a real success: the first example of the first limited edition based on the 500 Abarth!
