**2005 Gran Cruz Vintage Port – 3 Bottles** A beautiful lot of three bottles of Gran Cruz Vintage Port from the 2005 harvest, now with over 20 years of bottle ageing. Produced in Portugal's renowned Douro Valley by Porto Cruz, a historic Port wine house established in 1887, this Vintage Port offers an opportunity to discover a mature expression of one of Portugal's most celebrated fortified wines. **The Wine** The 2005 Gran Cruz Vintage Port comes from a vintage in which selected Port houses declared individual Vintage Ports, rather than a widespread general declaration. Made from traditional Douro grape varieties, this Port offers a rich, concentrated style, characterised by ripe dark fruits, subtle spice and a full-bodied structure. Vintage Port is bottled young and develops its complexity through extended bottle ageing.
