1983 Honda GL650 Silverwing Interstate

Introduced as a versatile middleweight touring motorcycle, the Honda Silver Wing combined dependable engineering with impressive comfort and practicality. The 1983 model was powered by Honda’s distinctive 497 cc, liquid-cooled, transverse V-twin engine, paired with a five-speed gearbox and shaft drive. Its manageable proportions and smooth power delivery made the Silver Wing equally suited to commuting and long-distance touring. Honda offered the model in several configurations, and this example features an aftermarket windscreen and lower fairings for improved weather protection and enhanced longdistance comfort. With its manageable size, robust construction, and unmistakably 1980s styling, the Silver Wing is an attractive representation of Honda’s innovative engineering. *Please note that the lots offered in the Billy Joel Collection have been in long-term static storage and may not be currently operational.
