Rev: Branch divides U.S. Federal eagle and British lion with peripheral legend IN COMMEMORATION OF THE VISIT OF QUEEN ELIZABETH TO AMERICA, dates 1776 and 1976 below, divided by tiny Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson which the queen visited on this occasion. Deep, rich, orange-gold color with beautiful overlying toning in iridescent reddish-rose. Accompanied by the original case from Medallic Art Co., with a plate on the inside marked to JILL T. RINEHART. A handwritten note included with this lot states that Jill Rinehart was a member of the 1976 Bicentennial Commission.
