American Bantam’s “Jewel Box on Wheels,” with styling by Alexis de Sakhnoffsky. Based on the Bantam roadster and conceived as an elegant urban delivery vehicle. Acquired by noted Bantam collectors Cal and Irma Burtner and restored by them during the 1990s to an exceptionally high standard. 747-cc L-head inline-four; three-speed manual gearbox. Impressive record of past concours and club accolades, including AACA Senior National and Grand National awards and the American Austin Bantam Club’s Roy Evans Trophy for Best in Show. One of as few as five authenticated survivors.
