1908-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC.

1908-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC. An exceptional quality and eye appealing 1908-O Barber half dollar. It is a fully lustrous, expertly preserved Gem with wonderfully original toning. The reverse is particularly vivid with cobalt blue and salmon-pink peripheral toning framing a champagne-apricot center. The obverse, more reserved in appearance, shows pewter gray central toning framed by a halo of powder blue. The strike is truly exceptional for this challenging New Orleans Mint issue, the often seen die swell on Liberty's portrait minimal and the eagle fully struck with all features crisp. Sure to sell for a strong premium to a knowledgeable Barber half dollar collector. Provenance: From our sale of the Abigail Collection, Part III, Spring 2023 Auction, March, lot 6474. PCGS Population: 19; 22 finer (MS-68 finest). CAC Stickered Population: 8; 11. PCGS# 6514. NGC ID: 24N6. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
