1885 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. JD-1. Rarity-2. Proof-67 Ultra Cameo (NGC).

Stunning Ultra Cameo Proof 1885 Half Dollar 1885 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. JD-1. Rarity-2. Proof-67 Ultra Cameo (NGC). One of the lowest mintage dates in the Liberty Seated half dollar dates, the 1885 has a combined Proof and circulation strike delivery of just 6,130 pieces, all of which are attributed to the Philadelphia Mint. We offer here a phenomenal strike and condition rarity from the year's 930-piece Proof issue. It sports razor sharp strike detail and a billowy frosty texture to the design elements, which contrast strongly with deep pools of mirrored reflectivity in the fields. Fully untoned and also free of grade-limiting blemishes, this is an exquisite Ultra Gem Proof for the quality-conscious collector. Provenance: From the Mack C. Chase Collection. NGC Census: 2; 0 graded higher in this category. The highest graded Deep Cameo example listed at PCGS is a Proof-66+ DCAM. PCGS# 96446. NGC ID: 27UL. Click here for certification details from NGC.
