1865 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. OC-2. Rarity-2. EF-40 (PCGS).

1865 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. OC-2. Rarity-2. EF-40 (PCGS). Handsome pewter and olive-gray patina adorns boldly defined, smooth-looking surfaces for this Extremely Fine Liberty Seated dollar. While not as rare as the 1861, 1862 or 1863, the 1865 is still a scarce and eagerly sought Civil War era issue in this series. The vast majority of the 46,500 circulation strikes produced were destroyed through melting, primary after export to Asia. Provenance: From a Collection of American Silver Classics. PCGS# 6955. NGC ID: 24Z8. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
