1839 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Drapery. WB-5. Rarity-3. EF-40 (NGC).

1839 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Drapery. WB-5. Rarity-3. EF-40 (NGC). Light gold and pale rose iridescence enhance otherwise bright silver fields and dove-gray devices on this late die state example of the WB-5 1839 half dollar with drapery. A small die lump in the eagle's mouth confirms the reverse die, while a clash mark in the drapery beneath Liberty's elbow confirms the late state of the obverse die. Provenance: From the Jim Koenings Collection. PCGS# 6232. NGC ID: 24GL. Click here for certification details from NGC.
