1805 Draped Bust Dime. JR-2. Rarity-1. 4 Berries. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC.

1805 Draped Bust Dime. JR-2. Rarity-1. 4 Berries. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC. A richly and originally toned example with vivid undertones of reddish-orange, cobalt blue and sunset-gold backlighting steely-olive gray patina. Overall detail is impressively bold for a lightly circulated survivor from this challenging early U.S. Mint dime series. This may be a plentiful JR number that is popular for type purposes, but we caution bidders that EF and AU examples of the Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle design are very scarce with the quality offered here, and they are becoming increasingly rare relative to market demand. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 4477. NGC ID: 236S. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
