10pc Compagnie Generale Transatlantique SS Normandie French Line 1930s Ephemera

Collection of French Line (Compagnie Generale Transatlantique) ephemera related to the ocean liner SS Normandie, dating from the mid to late 1930s. The group includes postcards and a printed folding souvenir track chart. The postcards feature various photographic and illustrative views, including the ship docked in New York Harbor with the skyline, nighttime illumination at the Gare Maritime in Le Havre, aerial perspectives, and an interior view of the Grand Salon. One color card is titled Antique French Line. The track chart, titled Souvenir de la Traversee, features a map of the Atlantic crossing and a printed log with handwritten coordinates and weather data for a voyage departing July 31, 1935. Several postcards bear contemporary postal history, including a New York, N.Y. postmark dated 1937 with a two-cent Washington stamp, a New York, N.Y. postmark dated 1937 with a one-cent Washington stamp, and a French postmark from Le Havre-P.A.T. dated 1935 with a green French stamp.
