À propos de l'objet

The notes from this resolution were issued "at Baltimore," where the Continental Congress met from December 20, 1776, to February 27, 1777, due to the British occupation of Philadelphia. This is highest denomination from the issue and the final use of the dual-emblem back (first used on the May 10, 1775, $20 Marbled Border notes). The face emblem shows a wreath on a tomb with the motto SI RECTE FACIES (If you act righteously, you will be honored after death). All three emblems on the note are boldly detailed. Well printed with some light stains on the back plus several pinholes. An excellent representative of the Franklin emblem-back type. The Newman note graded PCGS AU 53PPQ and sold for $960 a couple of years ago.HID07601242017
