1810 Beethoven Mozart Haydn Pleyel Violin Classical Music Piano Trios & Sonatas

À propos de l'objet

An incredibly rare early 19th-century printing of well-known pieces of chamber music by some of the best at the trade – Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn. And while the pieces themselves can be found by a number of printers and publishers throughout the years, the printing of Beethoven and Haydn is of particular note. Ignace Pleyel was a prestigious and important music publisher in the early 18th-century. However, one of the most frustrating difficulties with his music was his purposeful omission of the date. According to Rita Benton in ‘Pleyel as a Music Publisher’, this “led to considerable difficulties for bibliographers, cataloguers, and antiquarian dealers and any others who have to deal in some way with the music. Two elements present in a particular piece at hand may be utilized as a means of dating it: the imprint and the plate number appearing at the foot of all pages.” This edition meets both of these points – having the proper imprint and plate numbers. This work features the following pieces for string or clarinet soloist: Beethoven – Piano Trio, Op. 11 in B-flat Beethoven – Piano Trio, Op. 38 in E-flat Beethoven – Piano Trios, Op. 1 (dedicated to Prince Lichnowsky) Mozart – sonata (unknown) Haydn – Op. 87 Haydn – Op. 79 Haydn – Sonata, Op. 31 $499.00 In stock Add to cart Free shipping wordwide!
