Hand drawn 26"x20" stone lithograph on Arches paper from the "Fun City" portfolio, 1970. Signed in pencil by the artist and numbered HC aside from the edition of 175. Allen Ginsburg, the visionary poet and founding father of the Beat generation inspired the American counterculture of the second half of the 20th century with groundbreaking poems such as "Howl" and "Kaddish." Among the avant-garde he was considered a spiritual and sexually liberated ambassador for tolerance and enlightenment. With an energetic and loving personality, Ginsberg used poetry for both personal expression and in his fight for a more interesting and open society, is the subject. Domestic shipping $20. International depending upon location. Richard Lindner was born in 1901 in Hamburg. His mother was American. He grew up in Nuremberg and studied there at the Kunstgewerbeschule. From 1924 to 1927 he lived in Munich and studied there from 1925 at the Kunstakademie. He moved to Berlin and stayed there until 1928 when he returned to Munich to become art director of a publishing firm. He remained there until 1933 when he was forced to flee to Paris, where he was interned when the war broke out in 1939 and later served in the French army. In 1941 he went to the USA, worked in New York as an illustrator of books and magazines and made contact with New York artists and German emigrants. In 1948 he became an American citizen. From 1952, he taught at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, from 1967 at Yale University School of Art and Architecture, New Haven. In 1965 he became Guest Professor at the Akademie fur Bildende Kunste, Hamburg. Richard Lindner died in 1978. Jack Arnold Fine Art

Domestic shipping-$20, International depending upon location. American master artist, Harold Baumbach was a well-known painter and printmaker, whose style ranged from figurative to abstract. The son of an upholsterer, on the Lower East Side, New York, who did not want him to be an artist, Baumbach basically taught himself to paint. Roy became the Director of the Mojave Museum of History and Arts in Kingman, Arizona and then went to Las Vegas as Director for the Southern Nevada Museum in Henderson and four years later began working solely as a free lance artist. His work and published poetry and sketches, such as "The Wayfarer" took him around the southwest and eventually around the world. He has exhibited his work across America and his prints are in numerous private collections in Japan, Europe, Australia and in corporate art collection such as Standard Oil, Dow Chemical, and in the homes of celebrities and prominent locals.
