Signed Christmas greetings card, the small 8vo folding card featuring a colour reproduction to the front of a painting of the Nativity by Masolino Da Panicale. The inside bears a printed message, in Italian, thanking the recipient for their Christmas wishes, which he reciprocates. Signed ('+ G B. Card. A good, original black ink sketch of the head of Snoopy, drawn and signed by Schulz to a clear area of a First Day Cover commemorating John Ringling and the American Circus. Postally cancelled 2nd May 1966. Signed ('Schulz') in bold black ink alongside the sketch. EX International Autograph Auctions

WEIZMANN CHAIM: (1874-1952) Zionist Leader and Israeli Statesman, the first President of Israel 1949-52. T.L.S., Ch Weizmann, one page, 8vo, London, 30th December 1947, to Lieutenant Gordon Ferguson of the XII Royal Lancers in Cairo, on the printed stationery of The Dorchester Hotel. Weizmann thanks his correspondent for their card and good wishes, which he warmly reciprocates, and continues 'We expect to be back at Rehovot by the end of January, and are wondering whether we shall have the good fortune to see you there again. It would be a great pleasure'. An ink annotation to the lower left corner provides Weizmann's address in Rehovot. A couple of very light, extremely minor creases to the edges, not affecting the text or signature, VG Lieutenant Gordon Ferguson served as a.d.c. to General Sir Richard Gale (1896-1982) British Military Officer of World War II. In December 1946 Gale was GOC of the 1st Infantry Division, stationed in Egypt, before being sent to Palestine in March where there were tensions between the Jews and the Arabs.
