Text leaves with browning. With the book plate of OD on inner paste down. Bound in fine full gilt and blind tooled morocco. The Danish artist H.G.F. The 2005 vintage is definitely a Pauillac year - Steven Spurrier 5 stars - Decanter This Fifth Growth estate is on its way up! Long considered an under-achiever, the estate has really started to turn around since Brigitte and Denis Jugla took command in 1996--focusing their energy on quality. The 2005 vintage is a beacon of the estate's potential. It may be the great value of the vintage. It was rated 18/20 points by Decanter Magazine and given five stars, the highest rating of all the vintage's Pauillacs (and scored on par with Mouton-Rothschild): Reviews: "Tasted single blind at Southwold. The nose is very closed - surly and backward. The palate is ripe, earthy with touches of black pepper. Firm tannins. Nice cohesion, backward and still unresolved, but with a nice austere finish that leaves the mouth fresh. Certainly a very good Pauillac, Drink 2011-2020." "Very pure cassis.
